Using the Properties tool

To change a part, compound part, or component, choose Properties from the Family/Part Editor Edit menu. In addition to updating members, when selecting Properties for items in the left pane, Properties for an entire *.xml file can be selected.

Note: The Edit menu item dialog always applies to items in the right pane. It does not apply to items in the tree view (left pane). To manipulate the tree, right click a highlighted member of the tree and use the popup menu.
